Program Description

 

The Talent and Skills Training Center provides employment training and education that helps individuals to become productive citizens in the community. In our world today, too many individuals, who could be productive citizens and workers, are still being poorly influenced by detrimental practices of their peers and feel that they have no other choice. Our answer is to build character, teach, train, and uphold standards and principles that develop their talents and skills in positive ways.

 

Our trainees are required to spend three weeks in a classroom setting to attain life skills in Communication, Attitude, Problem Solving, and Preparing for the Workplace. The second stage of the program is hands-on training. Individuals are required to learn and apply basic construction and building trades skills including understanding worksite documents and the proper use of a variety of tools. Through our professional guidance and job training, obstacles and barriers to self and family sufficiency are overcome by generating the necessary changes needed for individuals and families to thrive in the community.
